I think that the afghan/blanket overall pattern isn't the most important to you--it is the Cowboy "star" that is the most important, correct? I have found a graphed cowboy star, that you could incorporate into any afghan or blanket pattern.
To crochet a cross, I have attached a link to Crochet Pattern Central, a very good place to find "zillions" of free crochet patterns online. This link goes to the Religious area, where you can find many types of free patterns for making crosses.
I have not been able to find a free online pattern for crocheting thigh highs. The best I could do was find one pattern in a book. That would be "Crochet Me: Designs to Fuel the Crochet Revolution" by Kim Werker. ISBN: 978-1-59668-044-9; Publisher: Interweave Press.
Take two pieces of fleece, whatever size you wish to make the blanket but make sure they are both the same size. Cut slits on the edges of the blanket about an inch long and keep doing that but give about half of an inch to an inch of space between each cut. do that around the whole blanket then tie all the slits together. Its very easy once you get started!
Crochet has been a favorite hobby and pastime for generations. The art created results in clothing and home products like pillows and bed covers. Patterns can be found at All Free Crochet and Crochet Pattern Central.
To crochet gloves, I would look online for a pattern to follow. There a many, many styles and ways to crochet gloves. So look for the pattern which fits your need.I have attached my favorite place to find free patterns for all sorts of projects. The reason I use this site is because there rarely is a "broken" link, and the sites are categorized and alphabetized . This site is Crochet Pattern Central. This is but one place which lists places to find free patterns.
Amigurumi is simply the single crochet stitch in a pattern to create an object. If you need patterns or ideas, Lionbrand.com has some great free once to try out.
