Is there a free website or app that if you sing it will tell you which note your singing?

There are many apps that will tell you which note you are singing. Do a search in the app store for a tuner. The tuner will be able to tell you the note and whether you are flat or sharp.

singing flat is not quite hitting the note that you are suppose to be singing. you may be less than1/4 of a note away.

Not really, sometimes, to not sing out of your nose you need to use your diaphram, open your mouth wider (as if your yawning) to be clearer , sing a note and imagine the note coming out as a dart or a straight line and imagine it hitting something straight ahead in the distance!

you are matching their tone but probably not getting as good of a sound as you could if you could sing it by yourself.
