On a 1999 Ford Explorer :

There is a " sock " on the end of the electric fuel pump pickup

The fuel filter is underneath the vehicle , below the drivers door , mounted on

the frame rail

Yes , in the center stack of the dash , to the right of the radio

Go to your local auto parts store or look it up on the internet. If they use the same serial number radiator then yes.

I have never come across a 1999 Explorer that had a cabin air filter. I am looking at the Ford online service manual right now, and I don't see a listing for it, nor do I see a picture of it anywhere in the diagram. All indications are that vehicle never came equipped with one. My 1999 Ford Explorer Does in deed have a cabin filter, it is located behind the glove compartment.

According to the 1999 Ford Explorer Owner Guide : With engine oil filter change : ( 4.7 litres / 5.0 U.S. quarts of 5W-30 ) * for the 4.0 litre SOHC V6 and the 5.0 V8 engines

I could not find any reference in the 1999 Explorer owner's manual to a filter for the cabin or passenger compartment air filter. The 2000 model shows a dash warning symbol for the passenger compartment air filter - but that's all the information I could find about it.

I believe that is located below the battery tray

The NHTSA doesn't list any recalls for suspension problems on a 1999 Ford Explorer - the only thing close would be the Firestone tires.

The 4.0 liter SOHC has ( 3 ) timing chains

I believe that is underneath the Explorer , below the drivers door , mounted on the frame rail

No, there is no similarity. On the 1999 Explorer the fuse panel is on the end of the dash visible with the driver's door open. On the 1999 Expedition the fuse panel is below the dash on the driver's side and it is a different shape.

they are in a black box below the air filter towards the front of the vehicle.
