There is not a hose under the 2001 Chevrolet blazer air-conditioner compressor. The compressor hose is on the top of the compressor.
The thermostat on a 2001 Blazer is just inside the larger or upper radiator hose. This hose connects to the front of the engine manifold.

I HAVE A 2001 RAM AND HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM. I FOUND A VACCUUM HOSE THAT RUNS UNDER THE FRONT EDGE OF THE AIR CLEANER THAT WAS WORE FROM ONE OF THE METAL HOSES COMING FROM THE COMPRESSOR. I SPLICED THE PLASTIC VACCUUM HOSE WITH A RUBBER HOSE AND IT FIXED MY PROBLEM. I HAVE A 2001 RAM AND HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM. Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine, the thermostat is under the housing the hose connects to.
The 2001 Pontiac Trans Am air conditioning drain hose begins at the bottom of the air conditioner compressor. The drain hose will route evaporation to the bottom of the engine compartment.

You have to remove the air conditioning compressor bolts set the unit aside but do not remove the freeon hose. Then remove the mounting bracket and then you can get to the bypass hose to replace it. Replace mounting bracket and compressor and job is complete
