Yes, thatfuel injected 2.5 engine idle speed is controlled by the computer, via anISC (Idle Speed Control) relay and IAC (Idle Air Control) valve. The computerreceives input from various sensors such as air temperature and throttle position and sends the appropriate signal. Most of the time, a poor idle is due to build-up around the ISC valve. You can remove and clean it to see if that helps. You could also check for voltage at both to ensure the signal from the computer is being received. -JJohnson
