Do your lights stay on? On my 2005, the lights go automatically off when the ignition is shut off.
97 tacomas do indeed have headlights.
The 2002 Toyota Tacoma ignition coil is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The coil will be on the drivers side of the firewall.
The headlights on the 2002 Toyota Tacoma might work on dim but not on high beam because of a blown fuse. If the headlights are too dim to see properly in the dark, there could also be a problem with the alternator and the charging system in the vehicle.
How_do_you_remove_the_key_cylinder_in_a_98_Toyota_tacoma
Very Carefully! Seriously I actually gave up on mine until warmer weather because on my 1995 Tacoma the front grill/part of it had to be removed and it was only held on by 6 or 8 plastic clips. My "reference" for my headlight replacement did break 2 clips replacing his. I would recommend a manual such as Haynes (not necessarily recommending that one) because it does provide fairly accurate steps for replacement.
If your looking down at your headlights there will be a a screw on the bottom left of the headlight. It should be a 4mm. Counter clockwise will lower them and clockwise with raise them
If you turn on the ignition without starting the engine and the Check Engine light does not come on, the bulb has burnt our or has been removed. Replace the bulb.
no
The airbag will most likely not deploy on a 1996 Toyota Tacoma is the front fender is removed. The airbag sensor is designed to detected a combination of speed and impact before deploying.
There is no such thing as a PCV valve. The PVC valve is attached to your valve cover. I will be waiting for your post "where is the valve cover on a 2005 Tacoma?" and "where is the cylinder head on a 2005 Tacoma?" and "where is the hood release mechanism on a 2005 Tacoma?" and "where can I buy auto parts for a 2005 Tacoma?" and the inevitable "I removed something on the engine of my 2005 Tacoma and now it won't start?"
i have only seen that happen when you use the keyless entry system.
The door panel on a 1996 Toyota Tacoma is held in place by several screws on the inside of the door. When these are removed, the panel can be lifted off.
