There is another way to put songs on your ipod, it's called Limewire, and I'm pretty sure that it's illegal. I'd just stick to itunes. i have checked the website (limewire.com) and it says it's completely legal. frostwire.com is another option although i have not checked it yet.

The easy way to do what you want to do is to make a file called Christmas songs and list the songs in that file. It will stay on your IPod, but you just don't listen to them.
