Honda has a service manual for the 1989 Prelude. I bought mine along with my Gold 1989 Prelude Si, February 1989 Car still running strong 203,000. miles. original clutch! Try Honda dealers, used book stores on line etc... Chiltons has a very comprhensive manual also. Easy to follow
That should be in the back of your owners manual. If for some reason not then buy a Haynes Manual that is specific to your car. jd
YES! I don't buy from fish companies for that reason.
The best suggestion that I have would be the haynes manual for the car. It shows pretty well what parts you will have to take apart, and put back together, and how to do it. There will also be some instructions with the parts when you get them. Other than that, you could try autolit.com, they seem to have a pretty good set of manuals. Later edit: Sadly there is NO Haynes manual for this age range of Honda Civics. For some bizarre reason, they did not publish one...
Try a Haynes or Chiltons repair manual for the year and model you have. They're available at Autozone,Advance Auto Parts and most other large chain auto parts houses ( I have never seen one at NAPA for some reason)for less than $20.00. If you are going to do any of your own repairs a manual like these is essential. You might ask the counter parts man to make sure the one you pick (Haynes or Chilton)does have the AC diagram. I feel either of the books will have what you are looking for.

Studying a company's personnel manual to find loopholes or ways to exploit the system is not a good reason. It is also not appropriate to study the manual only to undermine the company's policies and procedures. Additionally, studying the manual solely out of curiosity without any intention of learning or applying the information provided is not a valid reason.
No. EK chassis Civics utilize D and B family engines. 4th Gen Preludes utilize F and H family engines. While it is possible (although difficult) to put a Prelude engine in a Civic, there is both no straightforward method and no logical reason to put a Civic engine in a Prelude.
focusplanet.com probably will have it or a haynes manual that can be purchased at an auto parts store. I have never understood why Ford doesn't put it in the top of the fuse panel lid like everyone else but, for some reason they treat it like some big secret.
The clutch switch is located in cab between the brake pedal and throttle. It is mounted on the clutch rod at the firewall. You should replace it, not bypass it. I agree, replace it, don't bypass it. It's there for a reason. Normally I have nothing good to say about Chilton or Haynes manuals, but the Haynes manual gives a really good description of how to adjust the switch. cross the red and the yellow wire leading to the neutral safety switch to bypass it
the reason is so warner bros and other movies companys encourage peope to buy the movies before netflix begins shipping them out.
The main reason is to minimise injuries
The Haynes manual says to pull up on the knob "sharply" to remove it. That's pretty funny stuff. I've never tried to remove one but if all you have to do is pull up on it I would think that after all these years it'll be a bear to get off by pulling on it. I suppose you have some interesting reason for wanting to remove this?
