The full moon only actually lasts one day, so only one day in a month is there a full moon (although it will look full for a few days).
VERY INFREQUENTLY. A Blue Moon is said to occur , when two full Moons occur in one calendar month. On say dates 1st of the month and 28th of the same month.
The answer is March of 2014
New moon is approximately two weeks after full moon.
Nothing extraordinary happens. Though not very frequently, there will be two full moons in one month due the the moon's cycle and our calender system. By the way, the second full moon of that month is called a "blue moon" (that's where the phrase "once in a blue moon" comes from). It is interesting that there are other ways to define Blue Moon. See link for more information.
Because there is one full moon every 29 days, and each month is either 30 or 31 days. So February (with only 28 or 29 days) can NEVER have two full moons, and two full moons in one calendar month will only happen about once every 29 months; call it once every 2.5 years on average.

Actually, the natural cycle of the moon phases was happening first, before humans came along and invented the calendar. So the month is based on the moon. However, any month other than February is longer than the lunar cycle, so occasionally there are two full moons in a month--one on the first or second, and one at the end of the month.

One full moon is about 27.3 days, while the "average" month is 30.4 days, for a difference of 3.1 days per full moon. So 18 full moons equals 16.8 months. Approximately.
That's a "Blue Moon" . . . the second Full Moon in the same CALENDAR month. The cycle of moon-phases is 29 days, so there has to be a full moon on the 1st or 2nd of the month,in order to have another one before the end of the month.December 2009 will have Full Moons on the 2nd and the 31st. That will be the first time in a little over 3 years.
Since the full cycle of all possible phases of the moon runs 29.5 days, February is only monthin which this cycle doesn't complete. You may be thinking of a so-called "blue moon" ... such as occurred in December 2009. That'sthe situation where there are two full moons in the same month, which is relatively rare.OK, I hear you. Now you're wondering ... if the full cycle of all possible phases of the moon occursin every month except February, why is it so rare to have two full moons in the same month ?Because in order to have a second full moon in the same month, the first one has to occuron the 1st or 2nd of the month; those are the only possibilities.Yes it's true that in 11 out of the 12 months, you get a repeat of some phase of the moonin the same month. But if you name the specific phase you want ... like the Full phase, thena repeat of that particular one that you name will be relatively rare.

A full moon happens when the earth is between the sun and the moon, around the time in the month when the three bodies come as close to a straight line as they can get. The plane that contains the earth's orbit is not the same plane that contains the moon's orbit. So the sun, earth and moon cannot form a straight line every month during the full moon. If there were a straight line formed every month, then there would be an eclipse of the moon during every full moon. When a full moon happens at one of the two 'nodes', where the moon's orbit passes through the earth's orbital plane, there will also be an eclipse of the moon that month. So, strange as it may seem, there are slight variations on the actual 'fullness' of full moons from month to month.
