What is the fear IN not having a father? You could be raised by only a mother and have no male influence in your life, which some consider important. Your father will never be there for you. Or is it the name of the fear? I do not believe this fear has a common title but could be named by a therapist.

Claustrophobia - fear of having no escape and being closed in.
The name comes from the small tropical and subtropical lizards of the family Gekkonidae, having toes padded with setae containing numerous suction cups that enable them to climb on vertical surfaces.I live in Vietnam surrounded by Geckos. The name comes from the sound large Geckos make, which sounds similar to the word gecko. "geec...koooo"EDIT: According to Wikipedia - "...The name stems from the Indonesian/Javanese word Tokek, inspired by the sound these animals make..." Snakester1962 (Supervisor)

I couldn't find a definition for the fear of being dependent on oneself, but, to have a fear of dependence on others is Soteriophobia. If we take this to the next logical step, then, the fear of NOT being dependent on others, ergo, fear of dependence on oneself could be Antisoteriophobia
Nosophobia is the irrational fear of having a disease.
This phobia is not common enough to have a technical name as of yet.
