Yes there is, its located at the shifter under the housing. I just replaced mine and I am finally able to get the key out :)
The throttle position sensor can be removed by dismantling the chassis in which it sits. This can be done by referencing the owner's manual f the Pontiac Montana.
Bad resistor on key? Bad sensor in ignition lock?
It is located behind the crankshaft pulley and requires the pulley to be removed to change it out.
Depends on the motor, 4cyl or V6, but it could be the ignition module, or the crank sensor
The ignition switch on a 1996 Mercury Tracer might lock up and release only when the shifter is removed from park and then put in the park position again because the sensor is getting worn. This sensor lets the ignition know that the car is in park and it is safe to remove the key. Check the shift position sensor.
throttle sensor for a 92 pontiac transport
the Grand Am ignition switch also houses the anti-theft sensor for the "security" light. the switch sensor in my 2000 GA went out a couple of years ago, and it cost a bit over $400 to have it replaced. i'd imagine the 2001 would be about the same.

There are dozens of sensor that have to do with engine management and ignition all over the engine. There are dozens of sensor that have to do with engine management and ignition all over the engine.
Never heard of an "ignition sensor". Do you mean oxygen sensor, or maybe crank position sensor, or cam position sensor? There is an ignition "module" also... The oxygen sensor is on the exhaust manifold. The crank posiiton sensor is on the backside of the block. The cam position is on each head.
