Start with the markings on the gun. Is it a Winchester,Marlin,Remington, etc? What cartridge does the rifle fire? (.22,.243,30-06,30-30,8mm Mauser?) Is it single shot or magazine fed? Is it bolt action, lever action, semi-auto? When you can answer these questions, you can get an idea of when and where it was made.

What is it (rifle, shotgun, handgun) and who made it? What are the markings/words on it?
22 short, 22 long, or 22 long rifle. When I was a kid we would buy shorts to save a dime per box, longs for general use, and long rifle hollow point if we were going after something larger, like coyotes. Now it's hard to find short or long ammunition anyplace, and if you can find it, it costs more than long rifle.
Odds are Crescent or HD Folsom

A good place to find cheap rifle ammo is at J&G or The armory. They have sale on this stuff in bulk. You need to be very careful and make sure to clean the camber and let the rifle cool before you use it for the second shot.
You will have to contact Weatherby to find out.
High Country SPOTTING scopes are made by Burris. I do not find them using the High Country brand on rifle scopes.
You will have to call Ruger to find out.

It is a shotgun not a rifle- and Crescent was bought by Savage in 1931.
Take the rifle to a gun shop so they can figure out what make, model and caliber rifle you have. There is no 84 caliber long rifle.
