A squeaky stick shift on a Mazda Protege likely needs greasing. It is recommended that you use a silicon grease for this.

You can use the end of the tire iron to remove the lug bolts off a 1999 Mazda Protege DX.

The kind of antifreeze that is recommended for the 2004 Mazda Protege is the Genuine Mazda Long-life Coolant. You can also purchase Peak or Zerex coolants which are also considered compatible.

Yes, you can use 10 W 30 motor oil in a 2003 Mazda Protege. If you live in areas where the temps are very cold, 5 W 30 is recommended.

this is a guess but most Proteges use DOT3

Yes, you can use SAE 5W30. Mazda recommends it in cold climates.

When fixing the ignition to a car, a person should use a diagram. The 2001 Mazda Protege ignition diagram can be found in the cars maintenance manual, bought a local auto part stores.

: Motor oil, hahaha. Just kidding, 5w30

Do you really expect people to tell you how to steal a car? If it's your car, use the key.

the same type of oil as any car i believe ask your dealer they will know

Use SAE 10w30 conventional or synthetic. Use a High Mileage oil if the odometer reads over 100,000 miles.

You could if you had 1992, 1993 or 1994. 165/80/13 will be your best bet.

Use the exact same size, shape and color fuse as the blown out one you removed from the fuse box

The overdrive problem on a 1995 Mazda Protege is due to a failing spring in the end housing inside the transmission. If you replace the spring with a new or used factory spring the problem will re occur. You must use a revised version to permanently fix this problem. I have seen salvage yards advertise this overdrive unit. What a scam. Even the brand new factory unit will fail, so obviously a used one will also fail. You must contact a transmission shop, they will probably have seen many of these in their shop and will have the part number of a revised unit.

basically what you can do is remove the plastic strips around the radio to find the holes. then use a ford key tool (if unavailable just use a coat hanger) to stick it in the holes and pull it out. i had the same problem. if you need further information email me at the_reeper@yahoo.com.

4 qts 10w30 Motor oil (name is your choice) Recommended: Castrol GTX, Castrol GTX High Mileage

I have a 1993 Protege. The hold button keeps the transmission from up shifting. I use it when I am coming down the hill in my neighborhood. Rather than braking the hold button keeps the trans in a lower gear and I remain at a safe neighborhood speed.

A protege is someone who learns very quickly, usually from an older person. An example sentence would be: "Carrie was a musical protege".

When he left the orchestra, the position of conductor went to his longtime protege. My protege was able to accomplish what I could not do, which was to win an Olympic medal. As a protege of Joseph McCarthy, he was often vilified in the years that followed.

I use a product called CrystaLenz, it works really good and its is very easy to use. Check out their website for more info www.crystalenz.com if you have any questions you can call for advice.

Apparently this is a known problem. The rotors should be changed but it is the calipers that are the official problem. Change both and there is longevity of use.
