Nothing too special. Drain the oil from the pan first; then remove the oil filter housing...I bought an adjustable filter wrench (looks like a pair of slip joint pliers but long round jaws to wrap around the filter); remove the old filter. There should be a new O-ring gasket with your new filter; take a flat screw driver to the old O-ring on your filter housing (at the bottom of the threads on the outside of the filter housing) and roll the new one on; rub a little oil around the new O-ring for easier installation. Place the new filter in position and reinstall the filter housing. Add you new oil, start the care and check for leaks; turn the car off and check your oil level to make certain you have put in enough...mine takes 6 quarts.
