The white does not taste quite as strongly, so maybe they don't react to small amounts, but give them enough and they would react. They will also be allergic to the colored peppercorns -- green, red, pink, etc. I am allergic to it, and it is a royal nuisance. It makes it really hard to eat out, and at occasions like pot lucks I just eat at home first. I don't want to have to tell everyone at a function how to cook.
