Remove the lower engine shroud(6 or so torx screws)...the oil filter is enclosed in a black plastic housing which has a small drain plug which can be used to empty the filter housing before loosening. The filters are dealer items only and come with a new rubber gasket for the housing. Be sure to remove the old one before installing the new. The filter is just a fiber cartrige that is inserted in the plastic housing. Find a good wrench and don't break anything! I've found the filter cartridges at most auto parts stores. Autozone has a "B" style filter wrench that fits the housing perfectly. ($5.99)
It is right on the rear TOP of the throttle body housing. That's were the air filter housing fits down on the top. Right behind the 2 injectors. You have to replace the whole top of the Throttle body housing.

If it is the same as the 90deg adapter as on the 97 Grand Cherokee, you will need a short, male torx that fits on a socket driver. It has to be short because the adapter is so close to the inside of the tire well. If you are removing it because it is leaking oil, you can buy the o-ring set from a dealer for about $10.00. Change the whole set - not just the one that is leaking.
Adapter is for the feedneck. So that the hopper fits onto the marker. My mini already has an adapter on it. As long as the feedneck is adjustable it should fit.
