The best way to do this involves the cooperation of the adults without going through the courts. If the aunt is a responsible person and the 16 year old has valid reasons for wanting to move out of their parents home.
Have a sit down discussion, explain the rules - that everyone can agree on and decide if any money is involved (your aunt would be entitled to child support, until you are 18).
Becoming emancipated by the courts in any state is expensive and time consuming, even then, there is no guarantee the judge will agree you should leave your parents home. You would need to prove you are financially able to care for yourself, agree to stay in school until you graduate and have your parents permission.
If your aunt is willing to take on the responsibility of caring for you and your parents agree to let you go - you don't need to be emancipated, your parents would still be responsible for you and you need to prove to your parents that the move will solve a problem, not create new ones.
No to my knowledge, you have to be 18 to legally move without your parents consent.
Not without the consent of her parents or court order.
No you can not.
Legally no a 16 year old cannot move in with her best friend to get away from her aunt. You are still a minor. You can go to Child Aid and ask for help and be placed with either another relative or, if your best friend's parents agree possibly live with them.
Yes we had to do that
no
In California it is only legal with parental permission. Without it you would need a court order.
In the US, a 17 year old can live anywhere his/her parents allow him/her to live.
He moved in with his aunt, uncle and cousin in Surrey.
Talk to your aunt as soon as you can. Tell her your concerns about this and why you don't want to live with your father.
At 18, you're a legal adult and shouldn't need emancipation.
Depends on where you live but most likely no.
