I have not found a way to convert it to a ethernet plug maybe you can use a reverse Networking USB to Ethernet Adaptor but is kind of like making your computer a modem which makes it unlikely. This question is most likely needed for people that need to connect their game systems to the internet from only a ethernet plug but however can buy a WIFI adaptor. Unless your ISP requires you to need a internet browser to log into the internet this makes the WIFI adaptor worthless because your game systems don't have internet browsers. But if you buy a "Synet Windy31 USB Wireless Router" you can route your "USB Modem" though your "Portable Computer" and through your "Synet Windy31 USB Wireless Router" and wireless through your "Game Systems WIFI" you have internet. But this can really strip away your internet speed from 10Mps to 3Mps. It's a complicated, expensive and electricity wasting procedure but works for gamers sake. If anybody has found a way to just the 1st question without alternative ways please write back.
Direct internet connection via a ethernet cord are generally faster and more reliable than wireless connections.
Wireless or Wired (ethernet cable).
Wireless routers have spots on the back to plug in ethernet cables. Mine has one input and 4 outputs. It may work if you plug in one wireless router to your modem and then run the ethernet cable from the out of that wireless modem to the in on the other
Ethernet is a type of cable. You can connect it to your computer to connect to a modem, or you can get a wireless router to use instead. You will need a wireless card (usually built in to any computer made within the last 5-10 years).
No. Your computer would connect directly to the cable modem via an ethernet cable.
You can connect your laptop to the Internet with a cable modem, sure. You will need an Ethernet cable to do that. If you want wireless internet, you will need a cable modem, and a wireless router as well.
You have two basic options. 1.You can connect your laptop to your cable, fibre optic, or DSL modem or Ethernet port using an Ethernet cord. 2. You can connect your cable, fibre optic, or DSL modem or Ethernet port to a wireless router using a Ethernet cable. You then connect your laptop using wireless to your wireless router.
connect the cable modem to PC using the usb port, leaving you the ethernet porton on the cable modem to connect to the wireless router.
no...but a modem with a built-in wireless router would.
You can connect your Xbox by wireless or wired (ethernet).
The PS3 does not have a router. It can go online with an ethernet cable connected to a router or modem or with WiFi from a wireless router or modem
You connect you PS3 to the Modem to allow you access to the PlayStation Network with either an ethernet cable or a WiFi connection with a wireless modem or router
