Auxiliary inputs to a receiver are always stereo. If you have a 5-channel analog signal (from a computer or other multi-channel device), you will need a receiver with a 5.1 analog input. This has 5 separate RCA inputs for left, right, center, sub, and the two surround speakers.

An analog output from a VHS-Hi Fi VCR can be input into the stereo aux inputs of a receiver and decoded to Dolby Surround, but this format is actually only 3 discrete channels, left, right, and surround. It has no separate information for the sub or the center channel, and has a limited bandwidth on the surround channel.

What is an Auxiliary audio input?

It's a line level input that accepts audio source signals such as those from an mp3 player, iPod iPhone, or any portable audio source etc so that you can hear them. hardware to hardware in. plug one end into the aux jack on the Oem stereo, and the other into the portable audio device and you'll get way better sound quality than if using an FM transmitter, auxiliary interfaces are not tape adapters FM transmitters or FM modulator, there is nothing wireless about them, that means the signal isn't getting degraded by the process of sending it to your car radio

What is the best way to record audio for animated myBrainshark slides?

The best way to record audio in myBrainshark is to use the add audio feature in the application, although you could also embed your audio in your slides ahead of time, or upload each audio track as mp3's from the edit slides area. By using the add audio feature, you can add you voice by phone (number is supplied) or computer microphone. As you speak you can click off your animations, just like you would if you were presenting. This is the easiest way to add since you can do it simply over each slide, preview each one, re-do etc. Here's the help presentations on the site which include one on adding audio: http://my.brainshark.com/search.aspx?author=348797

How can you play your phone's music in your 2003 car's stereos?

1. Copy the music and burn it on a CD rom (best way) 2. Use a direct audio cable and plug on the car audio auxiliary input hole (if there is) 3. Change the car audio equipment with mp3 reader or Bluetooth receiver, (costly and hard to configure)

Can a GV -HD700 record analog audio without a video signal?

It is possible to record audio into the Sony GV-HD700 with no video signal attached. You have to use the analog audio inputs. Since you are essentially recording a blank video signal along with the audio to DV tape, it is not a pratical way to record, and modern solid-state recorders are capable of much better audio quality than the HD700, which is limited to 16-bit, 48 kHz.

Coby 937 DVD home theater system and the DVD input is having problems it isn't reading discs well is there a way i can receive 5.1 audio from the aux inputs with any cables or connections?

Reading discs is a problem with the DVD player, not the inputs. You can use an external DVD player and play the audio through the system, but it will only be in stereo. The Coby 937 only uses the surround decoder with its own DVD player.

How conect iPod in 2002 Toyota Echo?

FM modulator will be the cheapest way to input audio into the Toyota echo radio, but it is not the best way and sound quality is very poor , they only work when the vehicle is in the garage, the best way is to buy a iPod audio input interface for Toyota radios or a auxiliary audio inputs, the price is close to the FM transmitter, but this interfaces work a lot better, because they plug into the CD changer port of the Toyota radio, all Toyota radios from 1998 and up have this plug in the back the interface is easy to find online go to yahoo ans search for ( Toyota auxiliary input )How to connect an Ipod to a Toyota EchoA wireless FM transmitter would be probably be cheapest. Get one with a power source (ie that plugs into the car lighter and also charges the iPod). Other options include an aftermarket iPod data cable that you can find on eBay. I believe this cable hooks into the CD changer slot on your stock stereo. Finally, you could just change out the stereo altogether, installing one with an auxilary input.
