Possibly, but it could be tire wear, as well. A new tire typically has 28/32nds tread depth.. this decreases as the tires wear down.

Where is the rear Abs sensor on a 2000 silverado?

On 2 wheel drives the rear speed sensor is on the transmission tail shaft housing. For 4x4 trucks it is on the transfer case. I am talking about the ABS sensor for the rear wheels.

How do you adjust speed sensor on kenworth-truck?

Well, a couple variables here.. first, the question is whether you're talking about the speed sensor for the speedometer, or the wheel speed sensors for the ABS. For the former, if you've changed tire size, rear end ratios, etc, then it'll depend on the age of the truck... on trucks with mechanical controls, you replace gears in the speedometer itself... on trucks with electronic controls, you have to change parameters in the ECM. If your speedometer isn't working, then mechanical trucks will have a cable running from the transmission to the speedometer, and that'll likely have to be replaced. Electronic trucks will have a speed sensor on the top of the transmission output which has probably gone defective.. however, check the wiring first, rather than just throwing parts at it. If you're talking about a wheel speed sensor for the ABS, ensure that they're flush against the exciter on the back of the wheel spindles, and that the wiring isn't damaged. If you're trying to adjust speed settings, then you probably have an electronic truck, and that'll require parameters in the ECM to be changed.

Abs activates on dry pavement no light?

Rust built up (where the front wheel speed sensors insert into the hub) raises the sensor away from the tone ring causing a change in the air gap. This sends a bad signal to the ABS module. The ABS module thinks the wheel is locked up and then activates the ABS. I have seen this in GM trucks and Ford trucks. Remove the wheel speed sensor, clean area of flaking rust then reinstall sensor.

Is a transmission range sensor the same as a transmission speed sensor?

No, the range sensor reads what gear or "range" you have shifted into.A speed sensor reads the speed of an item. No, the range sensor reads what gear or "range" you have shifted into.A speed sensor reads the speed of an item.

Where is the speed sensor wire located on a 2000 infiniti i30?

The speed sensor wire is connected to the speed sensor and goes to the speed sensor relay switch. The speed sensor relay switch is connected to the computer by a separate wire.
