You are going to have a seam one way or another. But the bigger the slab of marble, the fewer seams. And you can use an epoxy to fill the gaps, but it will still look like a seam. And without the grout, you can have some serious expansion problems.

Can you install chiseled edge travertine without a grout line?

Yes you can install the travertine without a grout joint. Even though you butt the tile together it will still create a very small grout joint. Make sure you still grout it to fill all of the voids. It is most important in wet areas or you will have a huge problem.

Do you install tile or hardwood first?

I have done this and I always have the hardwood installed first. Then I install the ceramic tile. To protect the hardwood floor from getting grout or glue on it I cover the hardwood floor with a soft cover (to prevent scratches) and tape it down. Then place a plastic cover over the hardwood. Then I can install the ceramic tile at the edge of the hardwood creating hardly or no seem and level with the hardwood. When its done it looks beautiful.I would install the tile first , that way you don't risk getting glue or grout on your hardwood.

Can you use unsanded grout for a tile floor?

Yes, you can use unsanded grout for floor tile but you'd only want to use it if the grout lines were 1/8" wide or less - like for granite or marble tiles. If using those, be sure you have a pefectly flat surface.ANSWER:You never want to use sanded grout with marble. If the marble has to be restored or re-polished for any reason the sand in the grout with act like sandpaper on the stone.

Can you use White grout to install porcelain tile?

Not JUST a grout no. You can get a cement that will also work as a grout but a pure grout would not have the adhesion required to stick the tiles to the wall properly, you should not use it as a cement.

What is the difference between sanded and non-sanded grout?

The obvious answer is sanded grout has sand. But the in depth answer has many differences. Sanded grout which is the most common, can be used in a grout joint from 1/8" to 1/2" (and larger but check the grout). Sanded grout scratches many tile like glass. Non sanded grout can only be used on joints 1/8" or less. Non sanded grout is typically seen on marble and granite tile, many wall tile, and all glass tile.

How long does sealer for ceramic tile need to dry before walking on it?

It all depends on the sealer you used! I use a product called StableCrete that penetrates into the grout joints to waterproof them without leaving a film. Ready for light traffic in four hours. The Grout is what you seal with a ceramic install and not the ceramic!
