The Legend of Robin Hood was a 1975 BBC television serial that told the story of the life of Robin Hood. The possibility that there was a person on whom the life of Robin Hood is based is actually high. The legend however is very likely embellished beyond accuracy.
What was the mood of Robin Hood's bow? For some reason, it was a crossbow.
Sir Hiss was not in any Robin Hood book. Sir Hiss was created by Disney for their animated version of Robin Hood.

No not in the story.
Robin Hood must have had a family. In the ballad "The Death of Robin Hood" Robin is treated for an illness by his cousin, who is prioress of the convent at Kirklees. Robin's illness is not named; in my novel The Robin Hood Chronicles I assume that it was the Black Death, which killed hundreds of people in England in 1348.

The fictional Robin Hood was never given any sort of biological family of parents. Historical people that may have truly been like Robin Hood most likely had some parents, but none have really been mentioned in history.
