if not remember we are robin hood all of us Yes, we are all Robin Hood. But a more direct answer is that the earliest sources of the Robin Hood legend are some ballads dated before 1450, which I use as the basis for my novel The Robin Hood Chronicles. One of these ballads is "The Death of Robin Hood," in which Robin is betrayed by his cousin.
The earliest sources of the Robin Hood story are ballads that can be dated before 1450. William Langland refers to some Robin Hood ballads in Piers Plowman, written in 1377. One of the ballads we have tells a story that King Edward came to Yorkshire and made Robin Hood one of his yeomen. The only King Edward who was on Yorkshire before 1450 was Edward II, who was there in 1323. So apparently Robin Hood lived in the 14th century, and that's where I place him in my novel The Robin Hood Chronicles.
no one ! he was created in midair .
The earliest sources of the Robin Hood legend are ballads earlier than 1450. They place Robin Hood in Yorkshire. In one of them King Edward is in Yorkshire and makes Robin Hood his yeoman. The only King Edward who was in Yorkshire before 1450 was Edward II, who was there in 1323. Among the King's servants in 1323 is listed a Robyn Hod. In my novel The Robin Hood Chronicles I assume that this Robyn Hod is the same as the Robin Hood of the ballads.
Robin Hood A+
Robin Hood's bear friend is named Little John. He is one of Robin Hood's most loyal companions and a key member of the Merry Men. Little John is known for his strength and bravery, often serving as a protector of Robin Hood and the other outlaws in their fight against injustice.
no one is sure if a guy called Robin Hood existed it's a myth that has lasted for centuries, but Sherwood Forest does exist (where he was from).
Robin Hood had many companions who were known as the Merry Men. One member was Little John who acted as Robin's lieutenant.
His main one is the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Yes!
Robin Hood was supposadly based on Robert Fitzdog, Earl of Huntington and Lord of Locksley who was a good archer and lived in the forests giving to the poor In my novel The Robin Hood Chronicles I base Robin Hood on a real Robyn Hod who lived in the 14th century. My reasoning is that in one of the earliest ballads King Edward -- almost surely Edward II -- makes Robin Hood his yeoman. Edward II had a valet and porter named Robyn Hod, and I assume that Robin Hood and Robyn Hod are the same person.
My novel The Robin Hood Chronicles is a half-serious attempt to re-create in fiction what may have been the reality behind the Robin Hood legend. It is based on the earliest sources, which are ballads about Robin Hood; on the life of a real Robyn Hod whose life matches that of the ballads' Robin at one point; and on the history of the time. I believe my novel is as close to reality as it is possible to get at this distance in time.
