Oranges have citric acid in them. Uric acid iis a metabolic waste product produced as a result of purine rich foods. starting with ofal foods such as kidney liver etc then working its way down through red meats yeasts etc some vegetables and bevearages. Look for purines because they are converted to uric acid.

here is a list of alkaline foods that can be usefull in counteracting high levels in your system:

- Bananas, Watermelon, Orange Juice, Potatoes, Spinach, Figs, Dandelion Greens, Chocolate
