A dog eats in a bowl for its food and a bowl for its water.
Certainly, you can use a bowl to put the food in for the dog to eat.
Well, a labrador would eat anything that looks like food... But it wouldn't eat fish if it had another choice ... for example : If in front of a dog were 2 bowls , the 1st bowl with normal dog food , and the 2nd bowl filled with fish ... I THINK the dog would choose dog food . (my personal thought)
the rope is also tied to the bowl of food?
When i have company in my back yard why does the dog run to his bowl and eat all of his food
Raccoons will eat dog food. They are opportunist omnivours, which means they will eat just about anything they can find.

dog food, dog treats, human food, trash anything that smells good to them
If it's a new bowl, the dog may be reacting to the unfamiliarity of the bowl and may just need some time to get used to it. Keep offering food in it daily. If the bowl is one the dog has eaten out of before, you might want to ask a vet what could be causing the dog to start refusing to eat out of it. Try offering a dog food that has gravy in it or a special treat like a dog biscuit, in the bowl. But don't feed your dog exclusively a food that has gravy or that is soft. They need hard dry food for their teeth to be healthy, and can lose their teeth if given only soft foods.
The worlds smallest Dog is a Chawawa. Chawawas eat dog food, meat. and anything else any dog will eat.
