If it's a new bowl, the dog may be reacting to the unfamiliarity of the bowl and may just need some time to get used to it. Keep offering food in it daily. If the bowl is one the dog has eaten out of before, you might want to ask a vet what could be causing the dog to start refusing to eat out of it. Try offering a dog food that has gravy in it or a special treat like a dog biscuit, in the bowl. But don't feed your dog exclusively a food that has gravy or that is soft. They need hard dry food for their teeth to be healthy, and can lose their teeth if given only soft foods.
Take them to a vet immediately.
If she is a kitten, or young, just approach her carefully andoffer titbits from yor hand, if not young, tap her bowl and just sit with her for a little while every meal until she gets used to you.
The can eat your mum.
First of all if your kitten does not have its eyes open yet, or is still way too young to eat solid food, then you still NEED to feed him/her. For a while you will need to get a kitten bottle and some formulated milk. (NOT regular milk! Must get milk meant for newborn kittens). You will need to bottle feed your kitten and here is a good website that has step by step instructions on how-to, http://cats.about.com/cs/kittencare/ht/bottlefeed.htm Usually kittens will start to try soft, solid foods at around six weeks old. If at any point a kitten is refusing food, you need to take it to the vet immediately. Kittens, especially young kittens, can go downhill very fast if left to their own devices.
I'll answer the question that seems to be asked here; What do you if your kitten is not eating, drinking, or peeing after the day you bring it home? Well, there are three things; stress from just being brought home, maybe a small cold, or a disease. The most likely is the stress from being brought home. The kitten needs time to get used to its new surroundings. If you think a cold may be coming on, monitor the kitten a little bit more. If you see symptoms of ANYTHING, call your local vet.
Maybe they don't want it or there not ready to eat it.
Please take it to the vet immediately. The kitten needs urgent help.
actually if your kitten does not go to it it means that either it does not know where it is or it does not have a very useful brain.

Something could be seriously wrong with the kitten. Take it to a vet immediately! Sick kittens, especially if very young, can go downhill very very quickly and need to be treated as soon as possible.
