No and yes. Sugars are only bad for you if you consume more than your body needs. For example, a persons brain requires and body requires carbohydrates inorder to function, and carbohydrates are disaccharides meaning two strands of bonded glucose (lamens terms- complex sugars).
Disaccharides include:
Carbohydrates (breads, pastas, ect)
Starch (potatoes, beans)
Lactose (found in milk)
Sucrose (sugar as we know it)
Maltose (malt sugars such as found in beer)
These are all different types of sugars. However, with the above, your body has to work a little harder in order to break them down into a monosaccharide (lamens term: simple sugars) so that it can be adsorbed as a nutrient to help fuel the body.
Monosaccharides include:
Glucose (of which most disaccharides are broken into in the human body)
Fructose (found naturally occurring in fruits)
Galactose (found in sugar beets and dairy products)
One could say in the most strict of manners, that it is healthier, if one wished to consume sugars, to do so with monosaccharides as the body can easily absorb them.
all of the sugars are bad even splendor is a bad sugar for people with high blood sugar
Complex sugars, in good proportions these are good. However to much can be bad for you.
It depends whom you ask! Polysaccharides are sugars (bad!) but dietary fibre (good!) is mainly comprised of polysaccharides like cellulose.
simple sugars are the sugars that are bad for the body and then the double are the sugars that are twice as bad and takes out more energy during the breakdown of the body . complex sugars are pretty self explanatory . :D Also, simple sugars are sugars that the body can use directly, while complex sugars take along time to be broken down.
Honey is full of sugar so there are a lot of empty calories in it, however, all the sugars in honey are natural so it's good for you.
Generally Not. Only sugar naturally in fruits should be eaten. Overconsumption of sugar can cause many diseases. Further it is empty calories. Meaning that when you eat foods sweetened with extra sugar like candy, you are consuming calories with little if any nutritional value. Also sugar is bad for your teeth.
