• Yes, there is hope for families in the new millennium if they are smart enough to go back in time and see how families really were. Strong families no matter how poor, middle class or rich should realize quality of time with family is a big issues and should be filled with the memories of good times together. Control over children is another issue and it's not 'things' one buys at the drop of a hat for their children, but a one-on-one attention span from a parent or parents. It's a fast paced world out there and many say 'I don't have time' which is a basic cop out. Family should always come first and time set aside to at least sit down for dinner together as family once or twice a week. To listen to each other and tell each other as often as they feel like how much they love each other. Families can go over where their life is at and decide what is best for all in the family. Many families in Canada are getting the picture and instead of trying to keep up with the fast paced world they may move out to a country setting; change jobs although they may not be making the money they once did so they can spend more time with family and also alleviate stress in their own lives. One does not need to go on fancy trips all the time, but can go bike riding together; hiking (depending on the age of the children) enjoy nature; go to movies together or out for dinner every so often as a family.
