The Western U.S. for sure. The east has the Appalachian Mountains but the west has the Rocky Mountains. The Rockies are far more extensive than the Appalacians. They stretch from southern U.S. all the way to Canada.
Ontario is one of the less mountainous regions of Canada. Bear in mind that the big mountain range of North America, the Rocky Mountains, runs along the western part of the continent and Ontario is far to the east of those mountains. So there are far more mountains, and larger mountains, in the US than there are in Ontario.
In the US, the Rocky Mountains run from northern British Columbia in Canada down to New Mexico in the United States. The Cascade Range stretches from British Columbia in Canada through Washington and Oregon in the US. The Appalachian Mountains span from Newfoundland in Canada to Alabama in the US.
