The rocky mountains
The east coast of Canada and the US is generally flatter with more plains compared to the west coast, which is typically mountainous. However, there are some mountainous regions along the east coast, such as the Appalachian Mountains in the US and the Long Range Mountains in Canada.
The Rocky Mountains
no the eastern of US has not got more mountains
The Western U.S. for sure. The east has the Appalachian Mountains but the west has the Rocky Mountains. The Rockies are far more extensive than the Appalacians. They stretch from southern U.S. all the way to Canada.
Ontario is one of the less mountainous regions of Canada. Bear in mind that the big mountain range of North America, the Rocky Mountains, runs along the western part of the continent and Ontario is far to the east of those mountains. So there are far more mountains, and larger mountains, in the US than there are in Ontario.
