There appear to be videos of such on the internet, but I would seriously question the validity of them.
Consider that .177 is the size of a standard BB. Pretty small.
Outfitters such as Cabelas however sell the Pedersoli 209 Hawk Rifle which is .177 caliber and fires pellets or standard BBs using standard 209 primers. It isn't powder, but might be effective against small rodents at relatively short distances.
Ask a gunsmith.
No. a 177 is a 4.5mm pellet. A 5mm is a 20 cal pellet. A 5.5mm is a 22 cal pellet Don't try it in the wrong airgun.
It all depends on the rifle, pellet and power source.
Any .177 cal pellet can be shot from you air rifle. However you will find that some brands are much better than others.
Gamo Hunter Extreme 1650 FPS - Air rifle .177 Cal Air Force TalonP 900 FPS air pistol .25 Cal Hatsan AT P1 Air Pistol .177 870 FPS The Air Force TalonP is faster in .25 Cal than the Hatsan .177 Cal
Rodents
yes
If you are serious about air rifle .177 competition then there are several to choose from (See the link below) But I would select one of the Feinwerkbau P700 models.
don't believe any such item as 58 cal. black powder pellets. but, there is a 58 cal. slug for the 58 cal. black powder rifle
The Benjamin 132 is an air pistol not a rifle, it uses .22 caliber pellets, not .177 caliber pellets. The 130 series of Benjamin pistols were models: 130 shot .175 Cal BB's 132 shot .22 Cal pellets 137 shot .177 Cal pellets If yours is a rifle then I have NO idea what it shoots
what is this rifle worth?
Lets start with. The model 342 was a .22 caliber pellet rifle not a .177 cal bb gun. If you want an estimate of value then you will have to give more information as to the condition of the rifle. with out more information it is not possible to answer you.
