No. For one thing there is no such thing as a "summer equinox." We have the vernal (spring) and autumnal (fall) equinoxes and the winter and summer solstices. At the summer solstice for the southern hemisphere (winter for the northern hemisphere) the sun is over the Tropic of Capricorn. The sun is directly over the equator at each equinox.
