well, if it was then my boyfriend would be in prison..lol.. he was in court a year ago for his dwls 8th offense.. never done jail time. he had a court appointed attourny. he got lucky if u ask me. but hey.. he just got it again. he has to go back to court next month for his 9th. the man just doesnt learn. i will let u know what happens. but no matter how many offenses u get for dwls, they are all misdemeanors..

It depends on the charge. If it's murder or rape, they will figure out a way to hold him for as long as necessary. If it's DWLS, they'll probably not extradite him. The best thing to do is hire a lawyer to call the prosecutor, police, and court, and enter an Appearance, so that when Florida calls Michigan to ask what they want to do, Michigan will probably just tell them to "advise and release" him which means advise him of his warrant and let him go.

Let's see: You were convicted of DUI and lost your license for 5 years. However - you were caught driving DUI again a year and a half before your revocation expired. So now - you have TWO DUI's and an 'Operating On Revocation' charge. I think that you are going to lose your driving privileges for a L-O-N-G time and MAY even get some jail time to reinforce the message.

It's your word against his. OF COURSE, you are expected to lie and say your load was secured. How about if he pulled you over for an inoperative tail-light? Would that make you feel better?
