Platinum is more expensive than titanium currently.
platinum has a higher price than gold, almost double the price of gold if not actually double. it also has very similar properties as gold except the color
it is 15 times more expensive yes.
yes
Titanium
Platinum
i am doing homework and this is what i put: steel is extacted using a blast furnace which is quick and relatively cheap. however to extract titanium, magnesium is needed because it is more reactive. magnesium is extracted by electrolysis, which is expensive therefore it is not cheap to buy. you have to buy the magnesium to extract the titanium, which is why titanium is expensive hope this helped and you can copy it word for word i dont care :)
Platinum is harder. Gold is a very soft and malleable metal and can be pounded into thin sheets quite easily.
Aluminum is actually lighter than titanium
Osmium is far more expensive than Titanium. Osmium is $13 per gram. Osmium is far more harder and yet brittle while extreme stress and harder to work with, therefore more expensive . You will find osmium in ball point pens and Titanium on a Nasa Space shuttle.
Gold is tremendously more expensive than titanium.
Platinum is not more expensive than a beautiful, natural diamond.
Platinum is the more expensive metal because of it's scarcity. Platinum makes up 0.005 parts per million of the earth's crust, and the majority of platinum mined is used as an industrial catalyst such as the catalytic converters in cars. Titanium is the 9th most abundant element in the earth's crust. What's more, titanium is most often used in small proportions of other alloys. Pure titanium is only about as strong as low-grade steel, whereas it's alloys with steel, vanadium, molybdenum and other metals are incredibly strong and comparably light weight. Platinum is typically sought after in it's purest form.
no. Platinum is more highly valued than silver.
It's more expensive than ordinary steel, but it's cheaper than titanium.
Platinum is more expensive than gold because of the difficulty associated with mining it. Platinum is harder to mine than gold, which means it requires more energy and effort to extract.
Titanium is not a precious metal such as gold or platinum, but it is more expensive per pound than a cheap metal such as iron or lead. If you refer to industrial value rather than to financial value, then yes, titanium is valuable, because it can be used to make alloys with a high ratio of strength to weight. Titanium alloys are often used in such things as aircraft and bicycles.
Platinum
Yes.
Platinum is more expensive than gold. It is a naturally white metal, is more durable and dense and quite rare, it does not require rhodium plating to keep it white. When a piece of jewelry is being made, in the case of platinum 85% – 95% is used.
Titanium rings can be used instead of the more traditional gold and platinum rings when getting married. One reason for using titanium is that it is much harder metal and therefore much more durable than gold or platinum.
