No. "Sulfa" is short for "sulfamide". Nitrofurantoin is not a sulfamide (in fact, it doesn't have any sulfur in it at all).

Trimethoprim is usually paired with sulfamethoxazole because they work very well together and i know that sulfamethoxazole does but i am not sure about Trimethorprim..
