Yes - very much so, in fact. Not only does it tend to become a habit (which is very hard to break and becomes an eating disorder - which is classified as mental illness) it also leads to a number of health problems caused by the action of stomach acid on the throat and mouth: having had anorexia and bulimia in my teenage years and 20s, I now suffer from extremely painful acid reflux and my teeth have been virtually ruined by exposure to high pH levels. Self-induced vomiting, being habit-forming, also tends to lead to very rapid weight loss which in itself can cause all sorts of conditions, as can being very underweight (which many people with eating disorders end up being).
If you really need to lose weight, there are many ways to do so that are more effective and far more healthy than vomiting. Speak to your Doctor Who will either be able to recommend a healthy diet and exercise regime or put you in touch with a dietician.
