While it has never been considered a precious metal like silver or gold; Copper has always been a fairly valuable metal. In recent years it has been in very high demand; so its value is higher than usual at the the present time.
Copper is more expensive than zinc, these results come from November 2009.
Yes, Zinc is less than a dollar per pound while copper is around $3.88 per pound.
Yes
Yes, brass is cheaper than copper.

Copper and zinc are not alloying elements for steels.
Yes, galvanized steel conducts electricity. The galvanization deposits a layer of zinc, and zinc is an electrically conductive metal, just as steel is, and just as all metals are.

The zinc coating is used to protect the steel from corrosion and rust formation. The zinc coating preferentially undergoing corrosion to protect steel and after the corrosion of zinc it forms a mixture of zinc oxide and zinc hydroxide. Yes, brass is cheaper than copper.
Zinc is the coating on the steel that makes it galvanized.
Stainless steel is an alloy with at least 10.5 percent chromium. Zinc steel is coated with zinc.
It really depends on the purpose, Aluminum is lighter (depending on the thickness) and will not rust (Nonferrous). However Galvanised steel is cheaper normally, as it is just a coat of zinc on steel, the only problem is that if it gets scratched enough to take away the zinc coating, then it will corrode just as fast as normal steel. Both have similar enough strength though. It mostly just depends on what you are wanting to do.
Zinc is used to precipitate gold from gold cyanide. Zinc will react to form zinc cyanide.
It's more expensive than ordinary steel, but it's cheaper than titanium.
Compared to what? It's cheaper than steel, or aluminum, and so far it's cheaper than plastic.

Zinc oxide
It's made of zinc-plated steel rather than pure zinc. They retail for about 25 to 50 cents in average condition.
Galvanized steel sheet is basically indistinguishable from zinc steel. If you want to buy galvanized steel sheets. You can go to Shanghai Changzheng, which is the choice of most people for its superior quality steel sheets.
