This is a parable of sorts, metaphor. The following 3 verses are using metaphoric imagery:
Isa 55:8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord.
Isa 55:9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Isa 55:10 "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,
But the next verse declares an understanding to these...
Isa 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
The sower (messiah?) is given seed for the same reason we see seed and sowing in the Apostolic writings. There may be a tie in to the scattered Northern Kingdom, but I will leave that for you to decide.
Book of Isaiah, "As the rain comes down from heaven, bringing seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so my Word comes down from heaven."
It was stepped upon, trod under foot.
There are 4 parables in Mark chapter 4. The Sower is discussed in detail in verses 3-8. The Seed is mentioned in verse 20. The Lamp in verse 21 (see also Luke 8:16 and Luke 11:33 ) is mentioned. The Grain Of Mustard Seed is found in verses 31-32 (see also Matthew13:31-32 and Luke 13:19 ).
Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence (1983).
That which sows seed; a sowing-machine. Or a person can be a sower as well. It also means someone who spreads something. That could be sowing doubt in someone's mind.

A seed can give you food.
It came from the Bible when Jesus spoke on the parable of the sower sows a seed. You can find in the New Testament in Matthew 13:3-8, Mark 4:3-8, and Luke 8:5-8 It was the seed that fell by the wayside.
With His spoken Word. He spoke it and it happend. In Isaiah 55:10-11 God says "For as the rain comes down, and snow from heaven, and doesn't return thither, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: so shall my Word be that goes forth out from my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereunto I sent it ." Conclusion: God spoke the components and His Word brought it into existance. God Bless
