Ive had tubular sclerosis all your life and you never herd of anybody else having this condision you are just happy to find people who know what life is like to live with this?

I was diagnosed at 11 and now am 37. To my knowledge I have never met anyone else with it. I new that there were other people with it my first doctor handed me(11 yrs old at the time) a pamphlet of horrible pictures of deformed and mentally challanged pictures of children with it in it. I was horrified he didnt explain to me if I wasnt most of those things in the pics I was looking at already than I wouldn't be. I thought for weeks I was going to grow up to be deformed and mentally challanged. Ok I am mentally challanged lol . My dad told me later that I was not going to look like the people in those pictures. So for a long time I thought the only other people with it were hard cases. Not mildly touched like me.
