Mumtaz Mahal was the second and favorite wife of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. She was also the niece of his step-mother Empress Nur Jahan. They had 14 children. Shah Jahan built the beautiful mausoleum of Taj Mahal in honour of Mumtaz Mahal.
