K you have a 20 inch bike and your chain broke and you don't know what size of the chain is so someone tell me it'd help?

If it's a single-speed or internally geared bike it's either a 1/8" or possibly (but rarer) a 3/32" chain.
If the bike has external gears you want a chain for the same number of sprockets that you have on the rear.
Chains are sold in "raw" lengths, and just about always have to be cut down to fit. Given that frames come in different sizes, and that people run different tooth counts on sprockets and chainwheels it's just not possible to get the correct length direct from the shop.
If it's a BMX, then get a 1/8" chain, a chain breaker tool and a master link.
That, with a net search about "chain replacement" should have you all set up to fix this yourself.
Otherwise you'd have to bring the bike to a shop or someone else with the required skills and tools.

Did you check your chain? Do you have it in gear when you crank the throttle? Yes? then it could be in the gearbox. the gears might be spinning, but not connecting with your chain. try tightening up your chain or checking your gearbox.
How do you know what size motor your pocket bike is if you dont have a owners manual?
when your sitting on the bike usually if you look on the right side of the motor where the chain goes (the transmision) if its a 4 stroke motor usually they dont add oil to gas . well on the bottom it should say what cc it is and u can tell by the size of the bike if its a really small one its more that likely a 47cc-50cc but the little ones scare the hell out me
