Most likely water damage.Water got into one of the outer layers of the display.Try putting indirect heat on it. No hairdryers! Will absolutely destroy it. Try turning up the heat at home. The screen needs to dry for awhile, like a week. So no turning the monitor on. You can use the computer if you can somehow project the monitor on another screen or your TV.
You have a power button on your monitor or your screen and if you press it only the screen goes black.
Ensure there is Power to the Monitor.
Try another monitor on the computer and if it works correctly then the monitor is defective. Buy a new one, as it will cost more to repair than to replace.
A screen/monitor that only shows one color except for black. Like a black and white TV or a green and black cell-phone screen.
There is no radiation from an LCD flat screen monitor. What could be dangerous is if any liquid leaks from the screen. The liquid crystals are somewhat poisonous.
Check that the cable for your monitor is correctly inserted into the computer and into the monitor, and is turned on.
It means that the screen is dead. It has damage and the pixels died. If you have a warrenty on the phone you can get a free replacement.
This is quite likely the inverter failed in the monitor that provides high voltage for CCL lighting. The monitor is broken although repairable.
I would try changing the video card. This would have been the next logical step after changing the monitor. Unless it is possible to change the cable between the monitor and video card in which case the next step would have been to change the cable.
This is either Water Damage or overuse. you will probably need a new screen or harddrive
If it is just the monitor that is shutting off, then there might be a problem with the monitor with staying on. If by 'screen', you mean the actual computer goes off and produces a black screen, then your computer might be set to go into hibernation quickly, or it might have a mode where it goes into a blank screen saver quickly. Check the computer's settings to fix that problem.
My monitor flickered, informed me to check connection, and then went black. If you unplug the monitor from the computer and it goes black then it's not the computer or malware....it's the monitor going out. I bought a new monitor and everything is working fine again.
