Albert I was King of the Belgians before, during, and after World War I.
The Prime Minister for most of the war was Charles de Broqueville. He resigned his post a few months before the end of the war; he was replaced by Georges Theunis.
However, it should be noted that Belgium was overrun and occupied by the German Empire at the very start of the war. Most of Belgium remained under German control until the war ended.
