There are many organizations that require volunteers in order for them to operate. Examples of organizes that use volunteers are firehouses. Some firehouses are run by volunteer firefighters. Another example of an organization that use volunteers is food pantries. Volunteers are asked to organize food donations and distribute them to the needy. Medical centers geared towards the elderly also use volunteers to assist the older patients with activities such as bingo and Arts and Crafts.
