In Christianity, there are a couple colours that I believe can represent things, I remember these from when we made bracelets with coloured beads in Sunday School:
red: for Jesus' blood when he died to make up for our sins
green: for the new life we have in Jesus
yellow (or gold): for Heaven, represents the golden streets
white: represents being sinless because Jesus died
black: for sin before we were forgiven
