Haynes repair manual available from www.amazon.com. Not hard. Locate sensor, unplug electrical connector, use socket of appropriate size, remove.
Locate the front wire on the distributer and follow. it will lead to the crankshaft position sensor.
The timing sensor is called a Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP). It is located at the 10 O'Clock positon on the crankshaft pulley.

According to my Chilton repair manual , the crankshaft position sensor is used to determine crankshaft position and crankshaft RPM
it's on the right front of the engine, not far from the crankshaft sensor
Locate the crank sensor behind the vibration damper (crankshaft pulley). Unplug the wire harness connected to it. Remove the small bolt holding the sensor in place. Remove the sensor.

between the intake manifolf and the firewall everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and the library should have a professional manual available...in the reference section, you'll have to make copies of the important sections...good luck :)The crankshaft position is always placed in and around the crankshaft pulley located at the front of the engine,often it is hidden behind the timing cover as these sensors are sensitive to road dust etc,be careful to observe torque specs on this sensor,the easiest way to locate is follow the only wire that runs behind the crankshaft pulley...r lyne
locate the crankshaft sensor which will probably be behind or right next to the crank shaft which is under the timing belt cover you might have to take the cover off and the timing belt
Crank sensor is in the top of the transmission housing at the back of the engine. Cam position sensor is in the distributor.
