What year, engine size? Most oil caps are in the valve covers, some front center of the engine. Should be marked OIL and have the oil symbol on it (usually yellow lettering on a black cap on a Ford). Check your owners manual.
Check on or right below the dashboard near where the gas cap relase lever would be
To clean the inside headlight lens on a ford ranger just simply remove the cap and clean.

On a 1998 Ford Expedition : The thread on cap on your engine coolant reservoir is the 16 PSI pressure cap / radiator cap
Does not have one. Just a reservoir.
I have a 92 Ford F150 and the cap is on top of the radator, but you can also add water via your overflow since your over flow is up higher, it will still drain into your radiator.
Is there a picture of distributor cap firing order for 2003 ford f150 4.2 engine
The 3.0 L - V6 engine has a distributor cap on the 1993 Ford Ranger The 4 cylinder and 4.0 L - V6 engines are EDIS ( electronic distributorless ignition system )
take off the distributor cap see what you find.
check the radiator cap, needs to be 13psi at least, i believe. that was my issue with my old ford, the cap was shot
On a 2003 Ford Ranger : Since you are asking this question I assume you have the 2.3L Dual Over Head Cam four cylinder engine . In this case the thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is your pressure cap / radiator cap The 3.0L and 4.0L V6 engines have the radiator cap on top of the radiator
