I'm assuming you mean the oxygen sensor, rather than egr sensor. Autozone.com has a great component locator I used for this information - 4 cylinder - Under hood, center, front engine area, above exhaust pipe flange, mounted in exhaust manifold 6 cylinder - Under vehicle, center, below seating area, next to catalytic converter, mounted on exhaust pipe no the person needs or is wondering if the car has an egr sensor, many newer efi cars have them. they are usally directly on the egr itself but i believe on this car it is elsewhere.
Its under the EGR on the block ya. follow a hose from egr to vsv from underside of car

EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation. The purpose of the EGR system is to lower the amount of oxides of nitrogen the engine produces. The parts of the system are the vacuum actuated EGR control valve, the vacuum switching valve, and the EGR vacuum modulator assembly.
Its part of the MAF sensor. In 98 they integrated it.
It's bolted right on top of the egr valve which is on the back of the engine under the throttle body there will be a small vacuum line going into where the egr valve bolts into the intake
