Water sending unit: Drivers side head up front between the first 2 spark plugs.
Oil sending unit is behind the distributor screewed into the top of the engine block.
There is a temp sensor on the water inlet for the PCM, and sending units for the gauge on the side of the heads. Normally part stores don't carry the sending units.
It should be located on the front of the water pump.

You may find two temp sending units on that S10. One next to the thermostat housing and one between #3 and #5 spark plugs. The one with one wire attached would be feeding the temp gauge, the one with two wires attached would be feeding the ECM.
There are actually two water temperature sending unit on a 1994 S10 Chevy. Please locate the unit close to the thermostat housing, and not the one between spark plugs. The single wire water temperature sending unit should then be attached to the temperature gauge. The two wire unit, the one between spark plugs, would be connected to the engine control module.
Probably either the sending unit or a loose connection.

Many portable A/C units evaporate the water that condenses by sending it over the hot condenser coil. This eliminates the need to empty the drain pan on the unit. Some window units also try to do this to prevent water from dripping from the unit.
The oil pressure switch is near the oil filter and the water temperature sender is located near the thermostat housing. The fuel sending is in the fuel tank mounted on the fuel pump module.
