The problem is most likely in both of your communication skills and how you handle issues. Everyone has these differences--I mean everyone. But, if you handle how you bring up the issue (state the fact without judgment), choose your time to discuss it (make an appointment so you aren't surprising the other person) and listen, you both should do better. Of course, you have to have a legitimate issue--can't control another person's behavior, for instance. It is going to take both of you to make it work.
